En la generación dorada de los laudistas ingleses, alrededor de 1600, John Dowland fue el maestro incontestable, conocido y reconocido en Europa por su virtuosismo interpretativo y sus canciones exquisitas. En este programa se le rinde tributo comenzando con airs de cour y canciones de laúd que Dowland probablemente escuchó en París durante su juventud; el homenaje continúa con obras de sus publicaciones datadas entre 1597 y 1612, en compañía de uno de sus colegas más fascinantes: el sin par John Danyel.
